Detective Inspector
Managing budgets and resources, you will develop and implement short, medium and long-term objectives within each investigation as part of the overall investigative strategy and engage with other force departments, units and agencies to enable a collaborative approach. You must supervise and evaluate investigations for reactivity, proactivity and crimes in action to ensure accordance with best practice. You will support the briefing of and liaison with the media when necessary and represent the Police Service at the Adult and Children’s Safeguarding Board, MAPPA and other related meetings and forums. While this role will be based on St. Helena, there may be short secondments to Ascension Island.

Detective Sergeant
You will inspire, coach, and lead a team working on PIP1 or PIP2 investigations, whilst also undertaking an investigative role utilising your specialist skills and technical knowledge. In addition, you will occasionally act as Custody Officer and support uniform operations during events and special occasions or due to operational demands.
