Insolvency Manager

Red Snapper Recruitment are recruiting for an Insolvency Manager for an independent specialist Insolvency firm.

We are looking for a dynamic, pro-active and experienced Insolvency Manager to lead a Recovery and Insolvency Team. A national firm of insolvency practitioners, established over 40 years ago, with collectively hundreds of years’ experience across all aspects of insolvency practice and law, both in the UK and across many global jurisdictions.

The Recovery and Insolvency Team is responsible for administering a portfolio of noncontentious insolvency appointments including a mixture of corporate and personal matters.

Location – UK wide. Open to discussing remote and hybrid working options as part of the interviewing process. Travel will be required in line with business need.
Contract – Permanent  
Salary – £60,000 – £80,000

Main duties and responsibilities
 

  • The Insolvency Manager will be responsible for a large portfolio of cases, including administrations, liquidations and personal cases of varying sizes and complexity and will be required to confidently manage the caseload and oversee the team, with minimal supervision.
  • You will conduct and progress pre-appointment discussions/meetings with partners, shareholders, and agents, providing relevant advice and guidance as required.
  • Overseeing the preparation of statutory reports, conducting investigations, reviewing/analysing financial statements, and quality control, are essential aspects of the role.
  • You will also provide Partners with suggestions, updates, and solutions.

Person Specification
 

  • Recent insolvency and restructuring experience within a management role and previous experience of effectively managing a team, is essential.
  • You should have well-developed communication skills, as you will act as a main point of contact with external clients.
  • Team leadership is a fundamental part of this role, and you will be required to supervise, mentor, and develop junior members of staff as well as being confident to undertake all aspects of people management.
  • For the successful candidate this role can offer a definite route to Partnership or alternatively, if preferred, a long-term senior managerial position within the firm.

You will have a relevant insolvency qualification. JIEB is desirable but not essential (for those
without JIEB, we would be keen to discuss a pathway to obtaining this).

You must have:

  • up to date and detailed technical insolvency knowledge and the ability to interpret and put knowledge into action on a live case portfolio.
  • extensive experience of people management, including proactively managing performance and driving a positive team culture.
  • strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and delegate to ensure deadlines are met.
